Sunday Morning Worship

Yesterday at church we had a lot of youth at the service. There were close to twenty youth and children at the worship service. The "youth band" played two songs with me and the rest of the youth group stood in front and sang and did motions.

Let me pause for a moment...we have a freaking youth band. That is crazy. Only one youth played an instrument in the Fall...Yesterday we had a drummer, vocalist, guitarist, and bassist. That is insane! The rest of the youth stood in front and sang two songs from camp and did the motions for the songs.

After that, Danisha and Samantha, two of our high school youth, shared about what God has done in their lives over the summer. Danisha had a profound experience on our Mission Trip where she realized that poverty is all about money. Sam shared that she has felt God calling her to ministry...talk about discipleship! This church has invested in Sam's life, she's watched and learned from all of us, studied the Bible, sought God through prayer and service, and look what has happened...God has called her to be a minister! I couldn't be more proud. I also found out that Sean, one of our high school boys, is feeling a calling to ministry as well. God is good.

The church seems to love when the youth are at church...it was joyful Sunday.
